Cellphone's Images....

It is amazing what the tiny Cellphone camera could do in photography. Now with added software it can take even at close up. I love photography and uses DSLR, Digital Camera as well the Cellphone camera for my photography. I now find it’s simply difficult to know which images are taken by what type of camera. For easy photography at time I resort to using just my Cellphone camera for posting images on Facebook, Blog and other social media sites.  Here are some images that I had taken from time to times using the Cellphone. Enjoy it folks as much as I had taking those images.

Wandering Around...

April 15, 2014 was a beautiful day so I decided to go for a walk. Yes for a walk. During that week it always rain in the afternoon, a welcome rain indeed. So I decided to do the walk in the morning part of the day. Normally it would start raining just after four in the afternoon. I love walking and take the time while walking to enjoy the scenes around and do some photography. I drive the Honda to the KLCC car park and then start walking using the tunnel-walkway from the KLCC to the Bukit Bintang area. Carrying a haversack with my camera, my iPad and a bottle of drinking water I start walking slowly, snapping some image using my camera. I dangle the camera and walk slowly. The Tunnel-Walkway from KLCC to Bukit Bintang at the Pavilion is 1.3 kilometres long one way. I have Blog about the tunnel/walkway here. So it was just a nice walk in the cool comfort of the air-condition walkway. I just take it easy and wander along enjoying the walk with my mind running wild. There are many people walking both ways in this busy walkway. Folks would walk to and fro KLCC- Bukit Bintang- KLCC. It sort of a short cut from both areas of the city. Both sides of the tunnels were decorated with painting or advertisement turning the area into a colourful walkway. There is a small food court near the Aquaria and since it as yet a lunch time the place is not as crowded as it would. I just took a slow walk and move on toward the Convention Centre and then take the escalator and move forward toward the Pavilion. [ The image above is in the Pavilion]

At this part of the walkway one can see both sides of the Bukit Bintang road from the top with cars rushing on both sides; a busy road indeed. I continue my walk into the Pavilion Mall and then went to the food court below to have my lunch. I decided to just have a light lunch of Ipoh Chow Kwey Teow at the Little Ipoh stall there. I sat down at one of the table and enjoy my food. Soon the place became crowded with the lunchtime crowds. Then two young men join my table to enjoy their lunch. They are strangers who eventually became  my friends. I finished my lunch and continue to sit there and chat with the two. I soon found that both of them are working at the banks nearby. One grew up in the rural area of Kedah while one in Kelang.. Both of them are from the generation of my kids. It was really nice to talk to them. After having their lunch they left to get back to their office nearby. I continue to sit down and while my time on Facebook and enjoying the day. 

After a while I walk along the Bukit Bintang Street toward the Low Yat Plaza, my destination. The street was already crowded at that time with tourists and the local, perhaps going for lunch or shopping. I notice that everywhere there are detour path to allow folks to get from one point to the other since there are construction everywhere for the MRT. For a while folks had to bear the difficulties but when the MRT system is completed folks would be able to get to the other parts of the city much easier. I move on with the crowds and eventually got to the Low Yat Plaza. 

The Low Yat Plaza is the mecca of all things electronics. Everything electronics under the sun are sold there. Just before moving on I stop at the Starbucks along the corridor there and order coffee and then set at one of the table to enjoy the free Wifi. After a while I move on into the mall. It was already throng with folks looking for computers, electronic parts, cell phone and others electronics gadgets. I browse around and found a shop where I enquire about the applications for TV reception. Got a friendly salesman to explain of how some gadget works. He knows his stuff well indeed and since the items that I wanted to purchase is a bit expensive I was happy to have been provided with extra information on that. I thanks him and would most probable go back to buy it. 

I decided to leave the Low Yat Plaza and walk back toward the Pavilion. I thought that its best I get to the Pavilion before it start to rain. As usual the street is still throng with tourists walking on both directions. I stop and took some picture of the buildings alongside the road as well the construction sites where there are crane and workman doing their work on the MRT project. 

After a while I reach the Pavilion and got inside. After browsing along I decided to get to the food court again and this time I ordered a Teh Tarek and some Curry Puff. I sat at the table at the food court and enjoy my snack. After a while I start walking back to the KLCC via the Tunnel and Walkway. With that it ends my adventure of the day.

Respecting the Plants...

We all need energy to survive on planet earth and that energy come from the Sun. The only specie that could convert the sun's energy into foods is the Plant. Without the plants all other species could not survived on this planet. And of course the oxygen that is vital to our survival. Our specie now takes all kind of meat other that vegetable to get the sun's energy. By taking meat mean that we get the energy from a second-hand source. Remember the animals first have to eat the plant in order to get the energy from sun. It is ridiculous for our specie to go to the third party to get our energy when we could easily get it from the second party; the plants. We can get all the nutrition we need to live a healthy life if we just consume vegetable. I am trying to do just that slowly, one step a time. Now we consume less meat. We now take mostly white meats and vegetable and hope in due course we could do away with meat all together. So folks do give due respect to the plant that give so much to enable all to live a beautiful life on this planet.

25 years of the WWW....

  March 12, 2014 is the 25th year of the World Wide Web or WWW. It was an invention by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. I am glad I got to witness the development of the Internet during my lifetime. I was born when there was no Running water, Electricity or Radio and of course no Telephone. The fastest way to send news was to send a message by Telegram. When our first child was born in 1963 I send a telegram from Kuantan to Bentong informing my in law of the arrival of our first child. In the Kampong message was send using the Bedok [hollow wooden trunk hanging by rope and beat with a stick to create sound] or by walking from one place to another. Since the arrival of the internet to this country (1995) when I got connected I have live in two worlds; the virtual world and the physical world. As I move forward I found I can no longer live in one world. Now I live and breathe in both worlds all the time and I am enjoying it. It does improve the quality of my life. Everyone of Malaysian arrive into this new world of ours at the same time, so there is no excuse for any one group to say they are at the disadvantage. We Malaysian are now on a level playing field. The economic benefit is great so there is no reason for all Malaysian not to be able to prosper together. Even the ordinary fisherman is getting the benefit of using the Internet. For example a fisherman could negotiate the price of its catch while at sea using the cell phone. The fisherman catch fish and while out there could contact the buyer on his smart-phone with image. He can keep the fish fresh in the water until the buyer want or arrive. Fresh fish fetch better price. The same goes with other commodity. Children with tablet in the third world can access information in the virtual world. Learn language by watching YouTube and other media. The advantages are numerous and I think the invention of the Internet is  the greatest invention of mankind, second only to the invention of the wheel.

A Perfect Day...

It was Monday the 10th of February 2014, a hot and dry day. It has not rain, the grass on the roadside has turn brown for lack of water. It has been a cool week before this and now the heat is unbearably hot.  Since all the bills have arrived I decided to go out and pay all of it at the ATM that the TM authority had at Ampang Point. Ampang Point is my township about 2 kilometres away from my house where I could get everything done. Since they installed the Bill paying ATM like they did with the Cash dispenser ATM I had to get use to paying there. There is no longer a human interface. It all machine now; for folks of my generation it not that easy to get used to using machine to pay bills. Since its introduction last year I had always got help from the friendly staff there who would help me get the paying done. To get it right one had to key in the bills number right. It the number that is important to getting the bills paid properly. It actually just takes a few minutes to get all the bills paid using the machine. We all have to get used to this mode of payment and I am learning it fast. It’s the era of electronic where one could pay the bills on-line or go to the nearest ATM.  

On that fine day at around 10am in the morning I went out.  First I send some bedding materials to the laundry then walk to the adjacent shop to buy two meters of hose for the filter pump; after that went to have Roti Canai at a Mamak shop nearby. I then went to have a haircut at the regular barber shop there. Then I remember I had to get some grocery. I found that I forgot to bring the list so I drove back home to pick it up and then went to have the car wash. While the car is been wash I walk to the TM store at Ampang Point to pay the bills and got it done at the ATM there. Then walk back to the Car-wash and pick up the car. On the way home I stop at the supermarket nearby and bought some grocery. With that I completed my errand for that day and got back home around 12.30pm and its Lunch Time. It ends as a very productive morning; a perfect day indeed.
