That Semalu - a different variety...

The other day while browsing around the neighborhood I found another variety of the Semalu plant. This time it is not the usual one that one see sprawling on the ground but a climbing type. Actually it used another plant to climb up to about one and a half meter high or at an eye level. I then got near to it and took a number of snaps and above is one that I think shows that little flower in all its glory.

You do not get to see the intricacies of the flower and that insect with the naked eyes. It is only through the macro lens that we could see the beauty of this little flower of the Semalu Plant. Malu from Semalu in Malay mean shy, thus the plant leaves shy away when touched. Have a nice day.

Idrus,

That's quite a feat to get a busy insect in such sharp focus with a macro lens.

louis, thanks for the visit and the good words on this posting especially on that image.

Well it does take patience and a little ingenuity to get that shot. I am still learning the best way of getting a good shot through the macro lens.

I am indeed lucky at this age my hands are still stable to enable me to stay focus on such subject, thus getting such image.

I am enjoying the time I spend on this hobby and happy that you are enjoying it too.

Have a nice day.

Syamsulfaiz Nasution, thanks for the visit and the good words on this posting. Yes indeed I am enjoying my photography especially with the macro lens. Am still learning and would learn along the way.

Appreciate your concerned re copy right. As I had said before my blogging is a way of giving back to the society and happy if folks use my thoughts/experiences and my photography for good use. This is sort of a wakaf from me and if folks want to use it, it is alright with me and I am happy with it.

As usual during my long years in Blogging most folks who wanted to use those images did seek permission and as usual I readily give gratis. It is my way of sharing and let others enjoy it too.

I am in my golden age and giving is the order of the day, so it is gratis all the way. Have a nice day.

Hhhhmmm ... interesting! A shy plant that climbs. You would imagine that, being shy, it'd want to hide under the bushes :)
