The Perak crisis...

Yes I am rather sad about the happening in the state of Perak. I hope those folks with wisdom think hard, for the future of the state is in the hand of the Rakyaat and not the politician. Many have done analysis on this issue and for their takes please visit these sites.Tengku Razaleigh , The Dandelions , Din Merican and Disquiet. And the latest is here Screenshots and here .

Have a nice day.

Over here in the US as well it's becoming just a faint hope that there are " folks with wisdom" or folks who " think hard", at least among the Republican "base".

Witness those Republicans in Congress who can't get past the old, tired, irrelevant slogans and keep blocking a real solution to our severe economic crisis.

Louis, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on this issue which somehow are common happening in the world of politic. They often forgot that it is the people that put them there and because of that the people are getting fed up of their behavior.

As for Malaysian I believe the new generation would not accept the way of old politic any more and come the next election we are going to see more changes.

Personally I do not think the situation in Perak would end just like that. Only a new election where one party or the other get a bigger majority would stabilized the state.

Have a nice day.

Thanks for the links, Idrus.

And yes, I agree with you about Perak - they need fresh elections there, to give one of those parties a clear majority. Otherwise, things will continue to stalemate like this.

And this is a time we should all be coming together. Like Louis, above, says. Think outside the 'party' and work together for the greater good of the nation in this time of world economic crisis.

Patricia, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on this issue.

Indeed a very important issue of our time. As we all know too well change is always difficult and for UMNO it was worst. They thought they have the right to rule and they were wrong and the March 8,2008 election show the wisdom of the rakyaat.

The generation of my children want to see good governance with accountability and transparency and it is them that who would elect the government of the day. I believe eventually the rakyaat would win the day.

Have a nice day.

tommy, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on this very important issue of the country.

Change is always difficult to accept for those in power. I take it is just a hic up for the Pakatan and the rakyaat would prevail eventually. The fight for justice must go on.

Have a nice day.

Dear PI,

I believe (I hope too) what is happening and going to happen in Perak would greatly chart our direction to a greater nation.

Can we withstand the temptations to join the racists, the conservatives, the liberals, the mobs, the bullies etc? Or we should just lied down and enjoy the song Que Sera Sera?

Nice day to you.

all-in-one, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on this issue.

I believe what UMNO did was wrong to takeover a legitimate government the Pakatan, both have equal number of seat after that defection. Even with a less seat the the Pakatan still could rule as a minority government, like now in Canada. Only the legislative council could toppled the government by a vote of no confidence. Had they did that and the the Pakatan government collapsed, then the Dewan could be dissolved and a new election held. Whichever party the rakyaat elect should be the government of the day.

History would later tell us that the truth would eventually prevail. I believe we are on the road to changes and it shall happen as we proceed on.

Have a nice day.

Dear PI,

There were many initiatives taken by the BN really intrigued me. Maybe they are bit too desperate to score 'points'. And maybe, for Perak, Najib is trying to make a difference here. Both candidates in PP and KT were attached to Badawi.

This is an interesting fight to monitor. As usual, BN would splash the streets with golds while the PKR have to rely on volunteers.

I hope all stay calm at all times and not be easily influenced by hidden moles including our Police's biased stand.

I believe in a more balanced fight, then more can benefit.

Nice day to you.

all-in-one, thanks for the return visit and sharing your thought on this very important happening in our country.

It is because we all love this country that we show concern with the development. As I had said in politics everything is possible. The Pakatan is a new party and as such have go lots to learn and I believe they are learning fast. In a way it is good for the country, it made the politician learn. As for Perak I still think that only a new election would solved the predicament they are in.

Do stay calm and have a nice day.
