Window shopping...

I love to window shop..Even if I did not buy anything, at least in the process of watching and admiring the works of arts on display, a great job done by professional in their own fields...An appreciation of the works of the arts..For it is the arts that give us the refined living space, making living so wonderful...Unless we are those of the class of the Rich and Famous, we would only have one or two of living habitats that we could call our own...Only a few of us in the middle class of the society that have more then one place to live, some have a house in one location and a condo in another location and would stay at these places from time to time to enjoy life...Most of us do not have that kind of habitat, so in order to enjoy living in a 'new' environment from time to time in the same home, one had to use one's ingenuity to create a new scene and environment, a different scenario in the same space, by adding new fine furnishing in order to make the space more appealing and beautiful to live.. I love to do just that to my living space...Fortunately my spouse love doing it too...So from time to time we would just go for window shopping, just for the fun of its all.... The last few days I decided to do some window shopping on my own at the other part of Ampang Point... Those rows of shops behind the De Palma hotel...There are many shops here and the parking is a bid easier..There are two colleges of international standard that utilized most of the upper level of these buildings and it cater for the local as well as the foreign students. There are two home furnishing shops that sell upper class quality furniture, a few restaurants and varieties of other shops that sell items mostly for the home. And there are many offices of companies at the upper level, that can be reach by lift or steps at various entrances..This place is a sorts of a business centre of its own...In window shopping....I love to see those works of arts on display in the shops, in the home furnishing shops there are many furniture in various style made of varities of woods like mahogany, teak and other temperate climate wood like birch, of course there are those that are made of rubber wood that look as good and other Malaysian woods like merbau... Actually I was looking for a good writing table to replace the one I am using now....I want a really good and comfortable one..I saw a few made of mahogany and the price were not that expensive...The sale people were very informative and in the end I bought one, which happen to be the last piece of the kind of design that I like...Well I am an impulse buyer and if it is already in my mind, browsing a few time would solved my problem...Normally when I want to get something new, I would discuss this first with my spouse to see whether she is on the same wavelength with me, it had to be that way, since whatever items we had in the house had to blend well with the other furnishing, so buying an items had to be thoughts of careful, for this my spouse and me discuss often..To make such addition blend well, thus making its a perfect and a harmonious objects in our home..We normally discuss for a sometime before we make any purchase, so if I ever makes a purchase on impulse, it is actually have been in my mind for sometime already..A cell phone call to my spouse to discuss at the time of finding an items, most of the time solved the decision to purchase. Living in a house that is just two thousand square feet big, we have to take every available space into consideration when we want to purchase a new items for the house, so whenever we plan to upgrade the furniture from time to time, we have to think of what to do with the old or the used one which are still good and could still be use.. We solved this problems by finding people that would accept such gift with love, as we know that there are many people out there that are looking for furniture or any household items to furnish their home and as yet could afford to buy now, so giving to such people makes its 'a win win like situation'..Us the giver happy and the receiver happy as well..We decided on giving free rather then selling for we felt good doing just that...Like last month we bought a small dining table made of wood for the kitchen from Macy and a new three sitter coach from IKEA...I start thinking of whom shall I offer this two sets of items that we had to give away, so that the new items just bought could takes its place...In the course of our lives we have given many household items to relatives and friends near and afar whenever we upgrade our furnishing...For these particular items, after enquiring around for a while, I found the person,a young man that I know, married with young kids, that live nearby and he was too happy to gets those items, so I ask him to get a transport to take it...So with that I gave away these items that would make this young couple happy indeed.. Sometime thing that we no longer need could be otherwise to others..A friend ask Me What has happen to the old furniture... I told him that I gave it away and it makes someone happy...He smile!! He say do you know that you also makes another person happier...I ask him who ?...And his reply...Surely those people at the shops where you buy those items are happy as well...True in the process of purchasing and giving many people get the benefit and became happy...Me the buyer, the Shop that sell and the person I give the old items away...Well Friends that is life....let us share happiness...
