I love animals and insects of all kinds except some that I just could not in a way relate or communicate. Anyway I still love its all... How I wish that some frog would makes my small garden their second home of a sorts and jump into my fish pond to cool down once a while, but so far non have come to pay a visit that I know of...Maybe they had made some visit and decided not to stay for long...I saw a number of squirrel playing around but they are really very sensitive and would run away as soon as they see our species...I just do not know why Malaysian squirrel are so sensitive to human, whereas their cousin in the States, where I live once are so friendly...If you take the trouble to feed them, they would come in drove to enjoy the free meals...Once We were on a picnic at a lovely spot in Ithaca, NY, on a beautiful summer day, these little wonderful creature came out of nowhere and uninvited to joins us in the food spread that we had laid...It was our first encounter with these friendly squirrel in the States. We were taken aback and eventually made contact and soon became friends of a sorts...We fed them of whatever we were enjoying and it does not seem to worry so much of our presence, unlike the squirrel that had being living near our garden here...I have tried to lure them hoping to make friends but then they would not wait but run away as fast as it could but would come back when we are not around to sample the food left...It look like I had to be more patience and hope to made contact sometime in the future with these family of brown squirrel. I believe there are a few families of these brown squirrel living in front and at the back of our house...There would be out there playing among itself, squeaking and jumping up and down the small bush that we had planted to add some green outside our back window, a pleasant view indeed when we open the kitchen window, especially in the early morning...When a gush of wind would enter the house as soon as we open the window and together with the lush green, makes a pleasant scene of our small garden at the back of the house. The morning air usually have the feeling of freshness.....Here I believe a family or two of these brown squirrel live somewhere in the holes dug up near the big drain below... Sometime my spouse would place food and fruits to lure these creatures to the fore and it would slowly come out of its hole to enjoy the food when the coast is clear.. Other then this squirrel there are the usual birds that chirp and jumping from twig to twig and fly around in search of food. I love watching these birds chirping and enjoying the tip bits of food that I would throw away for them to feeds.. And of course those little ants would come crawling out of nowhere to feed of the remain of food left on the grounds...From time to time when the weather is sunny, butterfly and other flying insects like the dragonfly could be seen hovering over the colorful flowers, jumping up and down in flight careless of its surrounding...I love watching these dragonfly, so well built, like those helicopters which I think is a rather poor imitation of this living creature..It is these creatures and insects that complete our ecosystem, making our living space so full of life, thus adding color to the wonderful world that we are part of... Enjoy...
