That elusive squirrel again....

I sat here at my patio writing this. It was a gorgeous Friday morning with the sun just up. Surfing the net and getting lost in cyberspace, suddenly my eyes caught a moving object in front of me. It was that elusive squirrel looking for food. Most probably did not notice my presence, was taking its time crawling slowing and playing around in my little garden. It crawl slowly and almost came over to me but eventually realized my presence and run away to the other end of the garden.

I then went to the kitchen to get some cut apples and cheese to put it in the empty container hopping that it would come back looking for food at the usual place. Sure enough after a while it came back and happily enjoying it apple careless of my presence.  I have already got my camera at hand and slowly snap as many images as possible while it was enjoying its morning meals. And here I am sharing these images with all to enjoy.

Have a nice day. [Please click on image to enlarge]

Pak Oncu, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting.

BTW when I was living in the US, whenever we had picnic in the open fields, squirrels would just come and join the picnic and it not afraid of people like their cousin in Malaysia. Most of the time we had to chase it away.

Anyway I think it is getting friendly now. Before I start feeding it, it would just ran away and hide. Now it does give me time to take photo of it in action not that far away from when I am. I hope I could eventually feed this tupai from my hand like those that are in the US.

BTW I could not visit your blog. It seem to be block or visitors are not allow!.

Have a nice day.

Wan Sharif, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting.

Yes I love all animals, small and big and insects too. There are many families of squirrels in front and at the back of my house. It so afraid of people unlike its cousin in the State where they are not afraid of people. So I decided to tame it by putting food everyday on a container on the top of the fence at my patio. After many years it seem to be tamer and now I could take its picture. I hope one of these day I could feed it from my hand like I did in the US.

Thanks Wan for the kind words. Have a nice day.

Apples and cheese! What a lovely and healthy combination! Pak Idrus is very kind to little furry friends! I am sure there are lots of squirrels out there who would love to be your squirrel!

~Covert_Operations'78~, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting. As well the good words.

Well now the squirrel is now a bit tames and from time to time I saw more coming over to enjoy the food that I had put on the plate there.

I hope one of these days I could just feed it from my hand. It would really be wonderful to do that.

Have a nice day.
