Wild flowers....

In the days of my childhood, Senduduk plant with its purple flowers are a familiar scene in the bush around the house. The plant grows wild and would give beautiful purple flowers all the year round. The young buds are hard and we would use it as bullets in our bamboo pistol, a home made gun of a sorts that were use by children in the village to play gun fighting. A sorts of make real world of the children in the days where the computer games were unheard of. The young berries would burst into fruits the color of violet and we as a child would eat it and our tongue would turn violet. Folks in the Kampong [village] says that this plants has medicinal properties and are use in traditional medicine. I do not know the botanical name of this fruits that still grow wild. It is really a sturdy plant that would grows everywhere, even on hard rocky soil. I took the images above on that trip last Sunday with the Kelab Volvo Klasik members. It indeed a beautiful flowers..

I have always enjoyed capturing images of wildflowers in Malaysia but I really need a site that will give positive identification of these flowers. I would appreciate it if you have any.

wickedwarhol, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting.

If you want others to help you in getting information do give others a true profile of yourself first. Putting your age 253 is not the right way. Are you ashamed of yourself! So be sincere and others would surely help.

Have a nice day.
