Whale @ KLCC...

A journey would be rather dull indeed if you only take a straight path. It would worth your while if you venture on a different path from time to time. You would be surprise to find more interesting things or happening along the way. So on your next visit to the famous KLCC or the Petronas Twin Towers do take your time to venture outside the shopping complex. There is a sprawling garden out there, sort of a tropical forest in miniature with its kind of floral and fauna. Most folks would just venture to the outside and watch the fountain of the pool outside the complex. So I would advice for those who are new to this vicinity do take a step further and you would be overwhelm by the garden of the KLCC.

If you are around there in the early morning, a garden breakfast on the lawn would be a great idea or if you happen to stay at one of the hotel around the park, a morning hike along the path of the park would surely turnout to be a refreshing health walk. There is a wading pool there and it would be great for the kids to wade in the pool of cool water in the tropical heat. There are many species of tropical tree that have been especially transplanted there so that one need not have to venture further to see some tropical plants that are mostly found in our forest.

Well folks I have taken some images of the garden and am sharing it here for all to enjoy. To see more and get the feel of a tropical garden, do venture there on your next visit to the KLCC.

Have a nice day.

Pak Idrus,
How true. All we need to do is to explore the place at different times and you will see different perspective of the area which otherwise we may have missed on a crowded day.
Thanks for the stunning pictures.

Salam, Pak Idrus!

Great photos of a familiar place. KLCC is my weekday playground. Sometimes I bring my dinner to the steps facing the fountain at night and eat while watching the fountain. Occasionally I take a walk across the park with a friend or two. Only last Friday, my friend and I had an obstacle race during lunch hour, jumping over the small fountains. We didn't know it was prohibited. The KLCC guards came to stop us and get us away from the fountains. Alamak!

Cheerio,

Yes, sometime our ritual do not take us to unfamiliar places, so it would be wise to do a detour from time to time. It does made the difference in our lives.

Your experience and happening there do made great stories. Yes we sometime do the unexpected and sometime got caught. What a hilarious moment!. Well that is youth and its fun.

Like you I do like the park for its greens which is so close to the concrete jungle that we live in.

Have a nice day.

dear sir,

preety pics you got there. what kind of camera do you use?

talking about public parks, it is really a pity that most msian towns don't have good public parks for people to be outdoor and relax. i know the country's weather is not conducive for people to spend their time outside, but that's really a lame excuse. with proper planning especially with lots of shaddy trees, i am sure it can attract people.

i am a malaysian living in china and for those of you who have been to china, i am sure you know how the chinese simply love to spend their days in their big, beautiful and preety clean parks.

Anonymous[4:02PM], thanks for the visit and the good words on my kind of photography. It was taken using a Nikon D60. I am indeed glad that you like it. I am new to the DSLR and it is different then the ordinary Digital Camera in that it produce better images. I am still learning and hope to do a better job in the future.

Thanks as well for sharing your thoughts on the need to create garden in the city and I believe as we progress more and more such garden would be create all over the country. We are in a changing time politically and as we move forward I believe we would see changes in other sociocultural area as well.

As for China I know even in the eighties when I visited China before it open up to the world, garden was everywhere for it is part of the Chinese culture that always look at nature in a special way. Now with the openness surely China have more parks then before and it is indeed good for mother earth. China has five thousand years of civilization whereas Malaysia is just fifty one years, so we have to move fast to be like what China is today.

Malaysian should work anywhere and that would be good for the country. It is only when you are far from home that you would appreciate home more.

For your information I had the opportunity to meet Deng Xiaoping personally when I was there. Indeed he was a great man of modern China.

Have a nice day.
