It always rain in December. When I was growing up in the forties on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia it was a time when the rain would bring the annual flood. And as usual it would be fun to play in the rain and enjoy the day care less of what was happening to the world. Now at this age I would just enjoy seeing the rain and the rain drop pattering on the translucent roof of my patio and at the same time would wet the leaves of the plants around it. It is really nice to see the plants enjoying in the rain and look so fresh after the rain has stopped. I believe that like our species the rain means very much to the other species especially the plants around us. I took some snaps of the plants after the rain and these are some images that I took on closeup. Have a nice day. [click on image to enlarge]

Rainy seasons tend me give me the reason to laze around at home:)
Want to see rain, and more rain, Idrus? Well, just take a look through my front window, and you will see rain for the next few months. Winter has setlled in, and this being Seattle, the ground will probably be continuously wet for the rest of the winter.
And bring your camera because those fresh droplets of water clinging to the leaves and twigs that you captured so well, may be lovely icicles on some days.
horizon, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subjects of a rainy day.
Have a nice day.

Well with the new toy the D60, my photography has gone to a new level. I am still learning and hope to do better the next time.
As for that crystal of ice, how I wished that I am there to capture that moment in time. It would be really an interesting project to be in the cold with the camera and capture those white snowy scene. Well, maybe one of these days when I just could be in that part of the world in winter. Who know for anything could happen.
Have a nice day.
Your photos are breathtaking! Such talent! I've always loved to walk and jungle-trek in the rain, and you've just enhanced my love of observing nature in the rain. The third photo is of kenanga flowers in the rain, isn't it? They are highly beautiful!
Covert_Operations'78, thanks for the visit and the good words on my kind of photographing as well sharing your thoughts on a common subject about the greens especially so during the aftermath of rain.
I grew up on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and enjoy the rain during the monsoon period every year and continue to enjoy it whenever it rain. Rain is about water and water is a precious commodity to all species and it is the source of life.
Yes that is the kenanga flower that bloom all the time in front of my home in Ampang Jaya. I love this flower for its smooth aroma. I am trying macro photography and that is one of the result.
Have a nice day.
