Tomorrow July 10, 2013 is the beginning of Ramadan for
Malaysia. Ramadan is a spiritual journey and it is not about Festival or Makan
[eating]. We are only rescheduling our eating habit which means we fast during
the day and eat only from the time after the sunset [Iftar] and until just before the sunrise. To me we should be eating less during the whole month
unless we are tempted by our eyes and nose to eat more than we should. Thus our
budget would be less. Remember that we taste food first with our eyes, second with our nose and only then that we taste it with our mouth. If we conformed with the norms and value of Ramadan our
journey for the whole month would be beautiful indeed.
Have a nice day.
Selamat menjalani ibadah puasa di bulan Ramadhan, Pak Idrus. I'm staying alone during weekdays because we are a weekend family. Thus, I usually will cook and will not allow the temptation of the Bazaar Ramadhan to influence me. Weekends, more to entertain the men of my life.
ReplyDeleteSalaam Pak Idrus.
ReplyDeleteI suppose during the month you are running down your touring schedules to enjoy fasing at home plus tarawikh with neighbours.
Selamat berpuasa dan Hari Raya
Aziela, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting. Thanks too for the Puasa greeting and do hope that your too enjoy that journey and benefited from it.
ReplyDeleteWell I have never accepted the concept of a weekend family. Why must it happen? I always believe family should be together all the time and that the wife should always follow the husband wherever he works.
Anyway do have a nice day.
Al-Manar, Pokcik Hassan thanks for the visit.
