I like the 'dome' structure. Am I looking at it from its top or its bottom? I know you were somewhere under the dome when you made that wonderful shot! It was nice that you managed to get the tower and the dome sharp, despite their I presume very bright surrounding. Have a nice day ahead, Pak Idrus.
It doesn't take much to excite old men like us. A dome that acts as a light well is not only pretty but provides enough light to save electricity. Lots of thought must have been put in by the architects. Pak Idrus, through your eyes we are appreciating so many things that may escape us.
The light well in the form of a dome is a functional way of saving electricity by letting in natural light from the sun to enter a building. I guess not many ponders why it is there. Through your eyes we are appreciating the many simple things that may escape us in life. Thanks for sharing.
Temuk, thanks for the visit and the good words on this posting. I too like the dome when it is palace at a proper building unlike the one in Putrajaya which to me look so ugly.
The dome you see in the photo is just above the RASA food-court in Suria Mall, KLCC. I took that picture while having a TT there. It was mid-noon and the sun was bright outside thus you see the clouds beside the image of the Petronas Twin Towers as see through the translucent dome. The dome you see is part of the Suria Shopping Mall on the Ampang side of the complex.
I am glad that you enjoyed this image much as I had enjoyed take it.
Pak Zawi, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting. This dome is the uppermost roof of the Suria Shopping Mall. I was having TT there and saw that gorgeous image up-above so I decided to take a photo of it using my iPad camera and share it with all to enjoy. I am glad that folks including you did enjoy that image, much as I had enjoyed taking it.
Yes true small things or sight in this wide-world of ours at time does makes a difference of how one see it. Like this dome at KLCC which was designed by non other than César Pelli the famous architect who designed most twin towers in the would [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petronas_Towers]
The whole Petronas Twin Towers complex is a photographer's paradise and I am always fascinated with all aspects of the building thus I am there quite often just to enjoy it and of course photograph it for my blog or Facebook.
I am glad that you did enjoy this image and I do hope we could go there when you are around in KL and have tea of lunch there. Perhaps take photos with that dome as the back ground.
I alwways say how observant you are to pick up and magnify what most people would think nothing of. Keep on with your hobby which enlighten many viewers.
Al-Manar, Pokcik Hassan thanks for the visit and the good words on the subject of this posting.
Well at this age with all times in the world at my command I look at things differently and enjoy those moment in time. The camera made it possible for me to share that experiences so that others may enjoy it too.
I am indeed glad that you did enjoy this image much as I had enjoyed seeing and capturing it.
