I took the above image at the Taman Ampang Hilir [Park] recently. It attracts me simply because I love trees and this one has just been cut down to its stump. From the look of it the tree is still healthy. Probably it has broke down due to strong wind and had to be cut down for the safety of passerby who jog around the jogging path. Anyways folks just enjoy this image which would remind us the important of plants to our lives. Have a nice day.
Pak idrus,
ReplyDeleteLooking at the hole in the middle the tree could have suffered from a disease and is dying so chopping it down is a necessity for safety. If they were the teja tree, they could have been harvested for use in the mosquito repellent business as the teja tree which is a popular shade tree planted in along many roadside has this properties of being insect repellent.
Great photo, Idrus. Got to make this short...am busy counting the rings to figure out the age of the tree.
ReplyDeletePak Zawi, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this postinng. Probably yes the tree is rotting inside and had to be cut down for the safety of passerby.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to cut down that tree, I would have just cut it in certain size and used it as stools or in slaps of three inches and use it as a slaps for the lawn.
I am not sure what kind of tree it is. If it is so then it would have been sold to those us made mosquito coils. In Sarawak the bark of a certain tree is use as mosquito repellent and I have not seen it in Semenanjong so far.
Have a nice day.
louis, thanks for the visit and the good words on this photography. I am happy that you like it.
ReplyDeleteI believe you have completed your counting of the age of that tree. May I know how old it is.
Have a nice day.
Missing pith..yes, but a striking picture nevertheless!
ReplyDeleteMANDALAY, Azimah thanks for the visit and the good words on my kind of photography. I am enjoying it.
