That Yellowness...

Folks the above image is that of a Yellow flower that grows in front of my house. If you take a closer look you would see a yellow butterfly enjoying its morning visit and having a feast of the nectar of that flower. Indeed it shows nature at its best. Have a nice day.

  1. Pak Idrus,
The camouflage was perfect. I wouldn't have been able to discern the butterfly if you hadn't mention it.
    Great observation.

Is that bunga lidah kucing (Turnera Ulmifolia)? I have a few lidah kucing plants in my compound. The flowers are normally visited by small bees. You were lucky to have a royal butterfly as the visitor! Lovely shot!

  6. Temuk, Thanks for the visit and sharing your valuable thoughts on this flower.

Yes indeed it is a Turnera Ulmifoli or as you said Lidah Kucing. Actually I did not know the name of this yellow flowers until you mentioned it. And true in the morning small bees would make a regular visit and I did photograph one such visit; read this http://idrus.blogspot.com/2009/06/that-insects.html

This image of the flower with that royal butterfly was just chance encounter during my adventure with the macro lens last year. Thanks for the good words on this shot. I does made my day.

BTW I bought a pot of this flower some years ago and it has since spread on its own to other place near my house. It look like a very hardy plant and could grow easily, even in crevice.

Have a nice day and take care.
