Its Made in China...Awesome..

The Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympic; it is Majestic. It is the works of creative people. It is a set that is simply marvelous. It is I believe the best Olympic opening ceremony so far. China did it with all the grandeur with its tradition of great culture of perfectness that became the greatest show on earth. It is a stage performance of the highest standard and it’s as colorful as it could ever staged, making it a colorful evening that one would remember forever. Indeed a pomp and splendor show that is Made in China.

I watch the show in the comfort of my home and these are some images that I captured of those historical events in Beijing.

As an events organizer myself of such events in the past, I know for sure that it is hard works and only with dedication and team works that such show could be as successful. Congratulation to all those that made this event a success. All images are captured from my LCD TV, courtesy of the Astro channels. Have a nice day.

  1. I agree that it was a spectacular opening ceremony only the Chinese are capable of pulling off in that kind of grandeur. Not to belittle the Sydney or the Athens games they too were fantastic in their own right and time. With a recorded history of 5000 years they have been waiting for this moment for 100 years in the modern Olympic movement.

Will you come to the London 2012 games! I'll be your host!

  5. Yes, I was wondering about that too. You mean the scroll? I think its a projection from below onto a screen which is the floor. The painting brush dance was great too.

  6. svllee, Steven, yes the scroll, so how did they create the three dimension image that roll both ways. Anyhow it is indeed a great achievement, telling the story of how they invented paper and its progress. Have a nice day.

  11. Salam Pak Idrus,

Indeed opening ceremony for olympic games is a grand event. People around the globe will expect it to be better than the previous one (in this case Athens 2004). Well Beijing manage to live up to the expectation. When Li Ning runs the olympic torch to its final destination it was mega spectacular ..but for me the best will still be barcelona games where they use archerer to light up the olympic flame ...

  12. jalan rebung, Rizal thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the Olympic opening ceremony.

I still think the one in Beijing surpassed all the others. The way they relate the story of the invention of paper using all the means available exceed my imaginations. Now it shows that Asia could do and do it better what the west did before. The Made in China has reached a new height.

    Have a nice day.
