........ Saturday the thirteen, March zero zero four.... It is the nomination day for the two zero zero four election in Malaysian..... the Nomination centre open at nine and by noon name of those nominated to stand for election would be officially known. Malaysian election are meticulous done with all the legality of a civil society.... Normally nomination day would take place in a peaceful atmosphere as has being the election culture in the country..... From today onward there would be wide spread campaigning to woo voters and like any of the election campaign after the nineteen sixty nine election, no public rally are allowed..... This is to prevent emotional issue be exploited by party speakers that would create unnecessary emotional buildup that would erupt into uncontrolled mob thus would not be good for a society like Malaysia....... Forming a good government is not a simple thing.... Emotion would not solve problems but rational and smart decision would...... Malaysia learn a bitter lesson in nineteen sixty nine election, when it try to ape the west by allowing public rally and because of this there was racial riot and the country was in a turmoil and parliament had to be suspended for a while and a National Emergency government was set up..... After this bitter experiences new guidelines was drawn up where issues that are sensitive to the population became seditious and not allowed to be use in a campaign. And to avoid a mob culture being develop, mass rally were ban but campaign were allow in enclosed spaces like in a hall or house.... This practices has let to a healthy atmosphere in an election.... That is the Malaysian way in Election.... A practical way to nurture democracy.... Making democracy a way of life for Malaysian.... It has work well for this country and we hope that this election would be well as before, come Election Day..... Malaysian would cast their vote wisely and then return to normal life once again...... It only happen once in five years ..... the Malaysian Election......
