Even in the past when lead pipe was used you have first to tread using special tools and it is not that easy. Using PVC you only use join parts and just glued, voilĂ you get it done perfect.

Thanks for the comment on my DIY. Ours have burst few years back and our water bills went up to unusual 1,200. phew.

btw well done of your DIY job...mutalib saifuddinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12938555482081358576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5803753.post-61714743983049064632008-02-09T13:37:00.000+08:002008-02-09T13:37:00.000+08:00sheela, thanks for the visit and the kind words. Thanks also for sharing your thoughts on this subject. It looks like folks of our age do went on an adventure from time to time and enjoying doing that.

Would give you some idea of what a stopper look like through the email.

As for that photo, now it has became a sort of a second nature to me to think of taking images of things that I look and do. The digital camera made it much easier. I am glad that you like that image. That meant I had to cut away a large portion of the ceiling (made of drywall) and replace the wet insulation stuffed in the space between the ceiling and floor.

I bought a lightweight cordless electric reciprocating saw that reduced my swearing quite a bit as I sawed overhead through the ceiling then for the several cuts to the pipe and its replacement.

I am always on the lookout for new tools and products which can make for a more efficient job.

Nice "still life" photo. A big breakthrough from the traditional fruits in traditional still life paintings!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
