Salam Pak Idrus,

I love this plants. It's in the genus of passiflora or Passion Flower. You can google about it. They have the same type of flower but the type commonly found (the one in your photos), this is called 'Buah Letup-letup'. Because if you squeeze it (only the young ones), it'll pop. Meletup!

I love to eat the fruits which tasted like the passion fruit, exactly but sweeter. Love it when I was growing up in Borneo. We had a lot of it growing at our house fence. Yummy!

Liz, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting.

Yes during my childhood we ate it and enjoy playing with fruit. We would pop it and enjoy the sound. The one growing at the back our house perhaps was brought by bird.

I am happy and excited to see that plant growing healthy there. Hope it would continue to grow there.

Have a nice day.

Thank you for these photos,
dah lama tak nampak buah ini di Spura. Dulu masa kecil, banyak terdapat menjalar di tepi2 sungai di Spura. Saya pun pernah rasa buah ini. Masa masak, kuning dan masam2 manis.
