Cool...

Yes folks the weather has change somewhat. Since the beginning of November we have been getting rain every days. It would start just after noon and lasted till midnight. Starting with heavy rain with shower and lighting; it would than drizzle in between. Then all of a sudden it would pour again with strong winds and would continue to drizzle till midnight. With that the average temperature has drop and is now between 28 and 22 degree Celsius, which is not normal, where here in the tropic the average temperature is between 36 to 26 degree Celsius. So that kind of drop in temperature is indeed welcome and kept us cool all days. At time we no longer need the air-condition to sleep which has became a norm here now.

Normally only the east coast states of Kelantan, Terengganu and the coastal part of Pahang would be subjected by the North East Monsoon which is normal at the end of year but of late the weather pattern has change and now we who live on the west coast too are getting rain that is not normal. It looks like the weather has changed, global warming perhaps. We could never tell what is actually happening. What! With all the conflicting reports we get from so many sources. Anyway I hope the temperature in the Kelang Valley would stay cool for it would surely kept our electricity bill down; the plus point in this weather phenomenon. Have a nice day.

Salam, Pak Idrus! The monsoon rain is on all our minds these couple of months. I dread having to read the papers, just in case there is more tragic news of landslides and flash floods. It is not necessarily caused by climate change. Perhaps the rainy season lasted just as long in my parents' childhood, but there wasn't haphazard construction and hillslope and watershed logging back then.
Have a good week, Pak Idrus and Makcik!

It's the same here in my part of Brunei, Pak. What's more, my area is always much cooler than the cities. It's a bliss to sleep comfortably with fresh air without air-conditioners

~Covert_Operations'78~, Ee Lynn thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting. Well in the past the rain did not start this early, only in December. Anyway I am happy because it kept the Kelang Valley cool.

When we first move to Ampang Jaya in 1973 this place was cool especially in the early morning and at time we had to put on sweaters. The place where I am living now is the first housing project and the SPCA is the only building along the Jalan Kolan Air Lama. Everywhere was green so it was indeed a great place to live although at that time it was considered far and out of town. But now it is just a five minutes drive from the KLCC.

Like you I hope there would not be another landslide. But as you know that area is subjected to such happening. If I were the authority I would move all those folks out of the place and return the whole of Bukit Antrabangsa back to nature as a Green lung where we could go hiking, fishing, mountain climbing and bird watching.

Anyway do have a nice day.

Jewelle Tan, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the happening at your part of the world.

I have been there before. Actually drive from Miri to Brunei and the scene was great all the way. At that time we had to cross the river using the Ferry. It was like the old days on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Sort of a trip down memory lane to me. I heard that they have built a bridge now. Well that is progress, you win some and you loose some.

It is nice to know that the weather there is cool now. So enjoy it before development comes you way and spoils everything.

Have a nice day.

Pak Idrus, I love the rain especially when we are 'lepakking' (lazing) at home. BUT not when we are in the city...I just don't get it why people go all wild & crazy when it rains causing all the traffic jams. Sigh.

ruby ahmad, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on rain.

Yes like you I love the rain. I grew up on the east coast and the yearly monsoon is one of the season we folks would enjoy the rain and a cool temperature. At time even the coconut oil would solidify. That is how cold the morning was. Yes, I still do not know the reason why when it rain, there would be a traffic jam.

Well, life is like that. Enjoy the rain and do have a nice day.
